I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lidl (Wexford) in July 2021
Interview
Very informal, one of the interviewers didn't say anything throughout the whole interview. Just tell them your a great team-player and flexible and will work any amount of hours they want you to work, Interviewed on a Monday, Offered Job on Wednesday. Very easy interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked alot about teamwork and taking initiative and doing jobs as you see them rather than waiting to be told.
One question was that you have just arrived at work, not clocked in yet and noticed a stray trolley in the carpark. Do you tidy it up or do you clock in then return outside to tidy it up??
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
