I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl in July 2020
Interview
Telephone call with recruitment office who then booked me in with the store manager. Fast interview in-store with manager. He asked about my experience, why I wanted the job. But never heard back despite the store manager saying he would call either way within a week (then emphasised it would be easily within a week). 4 weeks later I got an automated email saying I wasn't been considered. They are still advertising this role...

Question 1
Give us an example of bad customer service you received and why was it bad.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
