Question 1
What was the hardest thing I have done as a developer.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lynx Solutions (New York, NY)
Interview
I was contacted to have a "discussion". (prior to the interview i was informed only that it was for a QA position and that they want to know me.)
The QA position was not available anywhere on their website, LinkedIn, no where.
4 people in total present at the interview (myself included). It was as much of a nice-to-meet you interview as a technical interview. I was caught off guard.
I was provided little details over the job even in the interview.
I was asked technical questions, logical questions, about the Testing principles and so on.
It was intimidating, didn't feel very friendly.
They said they will contact me, regardless of the outcome, in 2 weeks after the interview.
They never called back.
Gave me the feeling they promise a lot and don't deliver. Just as the HR person said it was a discussion to meet me and it was a technical interview.
It was not a good experience, but it was something I have learned from.
