I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Robbinsville, NJ) in Feb 2013
Interview
They found my information via Monster.com and called me for an initial conversation. Afterwards, I spoke to a woman from what I believe was human resources in the New Jersey office. We had a brief interview where she asked about things on my resume, what I had done during college, etc. The next day I received a phone call saying they wanted me to come down to the office for a full interview.
They flew me from my school and sent a driver to pick me up from the airport and take me from the airport to the office (all expenses paid). I was then interviewed by one woman who gave me a lot of behavioral questions again as well as a few directed specifically to McMaster-Carr and figuring solutions to the problems she proposed.
The next leg of my interview consisted of a walking tour of the office, more questions about what I was seeing, and then another behavioral interview about my time in college and the like.
It was a very laid back interview process and I was impressed with how passionate these people seemed to be about their work.

Question 1
If there is a missing line, what would be the possible root of the problem? Why is the McMaster-Carr statistic for missing items higher than their competitors?
I applied through university. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr
Interview
Made it past phone call screening and had a one-on-one chat with a current manager before final round of interviews. Each round was 45 minutes to an hour long and questions were difficult. Have lots of examples ready. Have different answers ready for similar questions.

Interview
The interview process was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I really appreciated that the discussions were fully behavioral, allowing me to naturally draw on my past experiences. Furthermore, the company truly goes out of its way to treat you like a VIP throughout the entire visit, covering a remarkably nice hotel stay and providing a generous stipend to ensure you are completely comfortable.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Chicago, IL)
Interview
One behavioral interview with a recruiter and then a day-long onsite interview at the Elmhurst IL location. Superday has two behavioral interviews, walkarounds and more but feels like you're being observed everyday.
