I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Melba in Jan 2026
Interview
I was told that it was going to be a casual conversation where I could ask them to clarify questions if needed, and then it would be very laid back. However unfortunately I felt very judged throughout the interview and I found that the mood changed after I asked the clarification with a question that I found difficult. I felt very judged by the interviewers, they didn't like the fact that I asked about a four-day work week. They seem to be very focused on kpis and billable hours. I was in told afterwards that I did not have enough experience in NDIS or disability to work with them, despite having nine years of experience, personal experience as a carer and a bachelor's degree. Explain to them that the circumstances during my interview may impact my performance (being a 43 degree day), but I was still absolutely drilled during the interview and made to feel awful when I didn't answer something to their standards. I've heard many dodgy things about this company and I've actually been warned off by multiple people.
