      Algorithm Developer Interview

      28 Mar 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Tel Aviv-Yafo
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mend.io (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Jan 2019

      Interview

The process started with a friend that works at WhiteSource and recommended it. The first interview was an short friendly technical talk with the team leader, he presented the product and their work, at the end of the talk a home assignment was given. The assignment was a bit tricky, but in my opinion was fair and required the skills that are required for the role. I was allowed to reach out the interviewer (team leader) any time about the tasks. It felt as the assignment reflected knowledge and skills faithfully. After the assignment was approved I met the interviewer once more and discussed my solutions to the problems. The next interview was with HR representative and VP R&D (same day). I got the offer the next day from HR and it was very clear and answered all my questions. Overall the process took around 2 weeks (my fault).
