I recently had an interview at PT Mentari Mulia Berjangka for a position that was initially presented as related to Public Relations. The interview began conventionally with a self-introduction. I noticed that the interviewer seemed quite satisfied with my introduction, surprisingly not delving into any further questions. One particular piece of advice I received during the interview was about maintaining stillness in my hands while speaking, which felt somewhat unusual to me. As the interview progressed, the interviewer outlined the job responsibilities. Interestingly, the description seemed more aligned with a broker's role, reminiscent of scenes from movies like 'The Wolf of Wall Street', rather than the Public Relations domain I was familiar with from my university studies. This deviation from my expectations was slightly off-putting but manageable. The most unexpected part of the interview was its conclusion. Immediately after the interview, without any additional screening or rounds of interviews, I was offered the job and asked if I could start the following day. This swift hiring process, especially being my first interview experience, was surprising and left me a bit skeptical. In summary, while I appreciated the opportunity to interview with PT Mentari Mulia Berjangka, the experience was somewhat disorienting due to the mismatched job description and the unusually rapid hiring process.
