I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Merck
Interview
You get a full day interview with multiple department leaders. They may ask a variety of questions. Some go by a script. Others will deviate. Some may just ask you personality questions because its a entry level position. Others might try to grill you on problem solving, just to see how you think. It varies.
Phone screen: background, skill scoring.
Hiring manager interview: presentation showing your research, your career plan, etc
Overall good experience, everything step was arranged quickly, less than a week between interviews
The interviewing process was pretty straightforward, kind of long. First, was the recruiter screening and if you make it past that, then the panel interview with the team, managers, and director. Also, there was a technical assessment.
