I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Merck (West Point, PA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Interview was set up very spontaneously with very little time to react. The phone screen was scheduled after the interview was set up, which was odd. The overall experience was positive. A lot of technical questions with some behavioral questions and interest-gauging questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was there any time in your experience that you had to push or nudge a customer/client/outside colleague to comply with Merck policy?
Phone screen: background, skill scoring.
Hiring manager interview: presentation showing your research, your career plan, etc
Overall good experience, everything step was arranged quickly, less than a week between interviews
The interviewing process was pretty straightforward, kind of long. First, was the recruiter screening and if you make it past that, then the panel interview with the team, managers, and director. Also, there was a technical assessment.
