I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Merck (Glasgow, Scotland) in July 2019
Interview
It was quite straight forward. Firstly, I spoke with them on the phone. They asked standard background questions (when you graduated?, what do you do?), after which I have been invited to an interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard questions:
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What do you know about the company?
etc.
Phone screen: background, skill scoring.
Hiring manager interview: presentation showing your research, your career plan, etc
Overall good experience, everything step was arranged quickly, less than a week between interviews
The interviewing process was pretty straightforward, kind of long. First, was the recruiter screening and if you make it past that, then the panel interview with the team, managers, and director. Also, there was a technical assessment.
