Merck Principle Scientist interview questions

The interview process went well and the interviewer all looked nice and professional. However, the presentation part is very abnormal, as I was asked to give an all hands meeting like presentation in front of >150 Merck employees. It should be a communication within a small group! After the meeting, many of my current colleagues knew I was interviewing at Merck, which was weird.
