The technical interview was not difficult, however the interviewer had a speech issues with a very unclear pronunciation. I had to re-ask almost every question for two or sometimes three times. That didn't go well and I understand, that it's very personal thing and he might be a great engineer. However for the interviews there should be someone who can speak properly than this.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Merkle (Milan) in June 2023
Interview
I submitted my CV on a job vacancy posted by Merkle Italy, since they were opening a new office in Milan. They were hiring also full remote. My interview was for a client in Switzerland. The only reason a swiss company would hire in other countries is only for lower salaries they have to pay. I asked for yearly 40k gross and HR told me "it was a bit high". I explained that it's the average for a mid-skilled person. I had a technical interview with two internal people. They didn't mention their company name. Neither I asked for that, but I searched and found their profile on LinkedIn and the company they work for. The interview went very well, though I didn't receive an answer back at all. The interview was more theoric than practical, which is a thing I actually appreciate. It lasted one hour. I tried to answer the best I could and inteviewers seemed to be very satified by my answers (although CS is indeed a science, not an opinion).
