Interview
I should have seen the reviews here and caught the ghosting pattern. They wasted almost 2 weeks of my life and had elaborate interview rounds, with one where 2 different people took back-to-back interviews for an hour. They also gave some dummy data to create a business review presentation and had specific questions they wanted me to cover. It was all going well but for the last round, they left me hanging since their company was bought over by another company the same week. Absolutely wasted my time and energy and killed my enthusiasm. This is absolutely no reason to leave someone hanging. If your company is in the middle of a takeover, please freeze hiring completely and stop wasting people's time.

They mostly asked about my current challenges in my current job and previous job experience and gave out elaborate time consuming tasks only to vanish later.

Interview
Having been through many startup interview processes, I was pleasantly surprised at Mode's approach. From the first outreach, every touchpoint was thorough and thoughtful, where the recruiting team and hiring managers expressed genuine desire to see me succeed in learning more about the company values and fit and expressing my skillsets in relation to company needs. The entire team contributed time, perspective, and partnership to ensure that there was the right fit, which is rare in many companies these days.
In short, interviewing at Mode was one of the best interview experiences that I have had to date. The team provided a combination of transparency and genuine approach to role fit that is rare in many companies, and it is a huge part of why I joined Mode! On top of the interview experience, the dedication and appreciation to living up to values and integrity is exceptional, rare, and inspiring.
