Moderna Associate Director interview questions

Had to bother the recruiter multiple times to get any sort of answer regarding my candidacy post-HR screen. Once I finally got an interview with the hiring manager, she was a mess and seemed to barely have the time to properly sit down and interview me--the whole chat was very rushed and she seemed extremely busy/pre-occupied with work.

Applied online, got my first interview with HR after almost 6 month post-application. Second interview with Hiring manager. 1 more interview with one of department head I would work with and an evaluation test. Although the interviews were nice, I actually enjoyed them and was looking forward to the next steps. They never came back to me with a decision. Kind of disturbing to be gosted like this after this many rounds. Well, maybe I dodge a bullet, if this is not possible to do (one sentence of a decision), what will happen when you are really in trouble and depending on a good communication chain?
