I applied online. I interviewed at Moderna in June 2020
Interview
Very intellectual and thoughtful. They really pick your brain to determine how you think, not just what you know. Met with multiple teams, so my day was long but thorough. It made me feel like they truly wanted to find a place where I fit.
First had a short phone screen with recruiter. Then a few days later had a short zoom call with hiring manager. Heard back within a couple days and was invited for an all day on-site with a panel of interviewers on related teams. Also an online personality assessment.
The interview began with a phone call from HR department. They asked about some of my qualifications and then described the position I was applying for. They then gave me an estimate of the salary, potential benefits and a timeline for receiving an offer.

Question 1
Have you completed the online personality assessment?
First half of the interview went okay, while second half was a terrible disaster.
Two calls started off with the 15 minute phone screen, followed by 30 minute webex call with two upperlevel staff members.
Panel interview was could've been better. One of my interviewers kept on getting up at least thrice in the 30 minute block to check on his dogs. Umm, okay? Nonetheless, I was trying to contact the HR in regards to rescheduling the second part of the interview before the actual interview date because I had something relevant on that day. HR wouldn't response for 3 days before I called them on the number, that was listed on their email.
When I called, she said she had some wedding and was unresponsive. Tone was also sounding weird. Nonetheless, I explained to her my situation but she kept on talking about how the hiring manager was excited to talk to me and that I was lucky that I'm getting interviewed by them (same experience as the person who said that the HR said that they should feel grateful for getting interviwed --- Uhhh? I tried to call for the past 3 days to reschedule an interview because I had an emergency on that date? If you wanted to disqualify me from candidacy, I would've been open to that as opposed to the fact for feeling grateful. I sat in on the interview while trying to get my emergency sorted) What was worse that the HR went unresponsive after 3 weeks post interview, so I had to email the recruiter(s) to get an update and got the standard, "went with another candidate." 😂 Okay, wow thanks, geez. 🙄
