I had an initial interview with a recruiter, followed by an interview with an Engineering Manager and a Senior Engineering Manager. The questions were extremely simple and the kind I would ask of someone wanting to begin working in Engineering Management. As I have over a decade of experience managing larger engineering teams, this felt like a warm up to a real conversation that never took place, as I then received an automated email from a no-reply@ address stating they would not be moving forward with my application. The process seemed to suffer from mis-calibration.
