I had an initial interview with a recruiter, followed by an interview with an Engineering Manager and a Senior Engineering Manager.
The questions were extremely simple and the kind I would ask of someone wanting to begin working in Engineering Management. As I have over a decade of experience managing larger engineering teams, this felt like a warm up to a real conversation that never took place, as I then received an automated email from a no-reply@ address stating they would not be moving forward with my application.
The process seemed to suffer from mis-calibration.

Among other things, I was asked to draw a Kanban board. There were no follow-up questions to that drawing; because of that, there is nothing that could have been gained by this particular question aside from making sure I actually do work in the field.
