I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at NOV (Odessa, TX) in July 2013
Interview
A very easy going process. Showed up dressed nicely and the people where very friendly. The interview process was very straightforward and I was offered the job on the spot. Would have started that day but the 4th of July was the next day so I started after the 4th.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NOV (Houston, TX) in Oct 2014
Interview
Applied at a job fair years ago, I spoke to multiple hiring managers and ended up talking with the warehouse manager the most. He looked at my resume and had me start filling out paperwork there at the job fair. I went in the following week to the home office and did a more formal interview and filled out background check info and where to get my drug test at. Later in the same week HR sent me an email the the checks were done and it included my offer letter. at orientation I saw multiple people from that job fair in the room with me

Question 1
I wasn't asked any questions, I simply gave them my resume, they looked at it and asked me to start filling out paperwork.

This is not a very hard job to apply for. It's more about the willingness of the individual to show up on time and not be absent too many days out of the year.
