Multiple rounds of 1:1 interviews with different department heads (with 5 people in total). One take-home project.
The most frustrating aspect is that after making it to the final group of about a half dozen candidates, completing free labor, and taking time from my schedule for multiple interviews, the Council never contacted me again. I was surprised, as they seemed like a thoughtful group of people throughout. Ghosting candidates after such a commitment does not fit their stated company culture. I did not receive an offer, which is fine, but I also never received a rejection, which is frustrating. I sent a few follow-up emails and never heard a response.
