I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NetApp (Boulder, CO) in Apr 2016
Interview
Campus hire, followed by one round of one-site interview for a couple of hours. Interviewed by engineers, followed by the hiring manager. Overall, it was a good experience. Received the offer letter the following day.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
About my prior projects. Questions in C++, linked list and, tree based algorithms, Race conditions in OS.
The interview was straightforward and conversational in nature. It focused on a few technical questions to assess my understanding of key concepts relevant to the role, but it didn’t include a live coding exercise or whiteboard session. Instead, the interviewer asked me to explain how I would approach certain problems, talk through examples from past experiences, and demonstrate my thought process. Overall, it was more about gauging my knowledge and communication skills rather than testing me with hands-on coding challenges.
