Communication at first was great. After submitting my application I heard back about planning the first interview in a couple days. This interview was with a recruiter, very much the usual sort of interveiw asking about my experience, work history, what resonates with me about Netflix. The second interview was with the potential manager. It was very chilled and it felt like an unofficial chat, with not many specific job related questions. After a couple of weeks I received the usual generic AI email that I wasn't chosen for the next round of interview. When I asked for some feedback I was of course ignored. I believe all candidates put a lot of effort into the application process and it shows very little respect from the hiring party to dismiss them like this.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Netflix (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2023
Interview
Preliminary Interview with HR scout. It was good. Asked about my background and detailed the Job Specifics. They were not part of the Department that was hiring, so they couldn't answer my job-specific questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Netflix in June 2025
Interview
I went through a 3-month interview process with 7 rounds, which included multiple conversations with different team members and managers. While the people I spoke with were kind and insightful, the overall experience with the hiring process was disappointing.
There was a lack of communication regarding next steps and timelines. After the final round, I received no updates unless I followed up myself — and eventually, I was completely ghosted without any formal closure.
The process felt unstructured and overly drawn out, especially considering the nature of the role. Transparency and respect for candidates' time are areas that this company should seriously improve.

Question 1
Please pick one of Netflix's memos that resonates with you the most and explain why.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Netflix (London, England) in May 2024
Interview
4 interviews, all via zoom. There was more focus on their culture memo rather than the position itself. I did not move forward in the process as they were looking at internal hires.
