I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied through my school. I got a call the next day asking me to come in for an interview. I went in and was pitched the job. The job was not what I expected based on the job posting. They explained to me the hiring process as well as the process once I was hired. I then was moved to a separate room to take an online type of personality quiz to see if I would be a suitable candidate.
The interview process included an initial recruiter screening, followed by behavioral and technical interviews focused on financial analysis, Excel, data interpretation, communication skills, and fit with New York Life’s team culture.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at New York Life (Miami, FL) in May 2025
Interview
I had an interview with New York Life. We discussed the responsibilities, work format, and client acquisition. The job seems promising but requires initiative, self-organization, and readiness to work without a fixed salary.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
The first round of the interview process is a phone call with a recruiter, second is a zoom interview (very informal, just want to get to know you), third is an in person interview at their office. All were with the same recruiter.
