I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2015
Interview
I first got a behavioral phone interview. After hearing that I passed it, I was scheduled for 2 back to back interviews with a Department manager and with HR. If you passed these, you get to be interviewed by your future manager and in the end the store manager. I would say the interviews were pleasant. The company wants to make sure you fit the culture and that you are passionate about clothes and succeeding. Also, highlighting the fact that you appreciate their compensation system, which is based on commission, probably scored me extra points with recruitment.

Interview
I had gotten a phone interview with a random area code. The hiring associate asked my availability then asked 3 questions. The vibe seemed pretty face paced but don’t feel like you need to follow it. I slowed things down a bit towards the end to make sure I got the proper information and wasn’t afraid to ask questions even when they didn’t ask you to.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2017
Interview
I interviewed with 3 managers with one being the store manager. It was pretty chill and easy. Typical interview questions. They just wanted to see your vibe and if your personality fits with the team.
