I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Highlands Ranch, CO) in Mar 2012
Interview
Phone interview, in-person interview and second interview. It is fairly easy and they ask similar questions to any other employer but make sure and play up any retail experience or customer service experience. They are basically just looking for people who can be outgoing and work well with others while helping customers in any way possible. One thing, if you aren't looking to walk around constantly and be on your feet for 8+ hours, please don't apply and interview. This is a highly active job as most retail is and some people come into the job thinking they'll just get to goof off and not move around much but they are the ones who usually don't make it very long.
So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
Was inside Barton creek mall, hiring manager was prompt and clear with questions ranging from how I would handle difficult customers, to my personal experiences that could apply to the job.
