I had to do a phone interview since I wasn’t in the state where the actual internship would occur. It lasted about 30-35 minutes and she asked the basics, why Nordstrom? How would you deal with an unsatisfied customer? We spent some time talking about The Program itself and then we did the sale simulation (which would usually be done in person) over the phone. I had to explain how I would sell an article of clothing to a customer. She then detailed the specifics of the program, how long it would be what we would be doing and the chance to get hired from it. Overall a nerve wracking but great experience.
