I received a message scheduling a time for an interview. I was waiting 10 minutes for the person to call me on the scheduled time. When it was 10 minutes after, I sent an email saying to cancel my application. The recruitment process is a window into the company, and I can't work at a place that doesn't respect my time. There was no notification that they would be late, or an attempt to reschedule ahead of time. I was left in the dark. Soon after it seems they attempted to call me but it was too late at that point.

Question 1
no interview questions were asked because no interview was conducted.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in June 2019
Interview
Had a 3.3 hour interview with about 8-9 people. Interviewed with 2 people at a time for about 45 minutes each. They asked less technical questions on coding and more functional questions. People were friendly overall. The atmosphere is welcoming, laid back, and positive. The interviwers didn't cross question me on anything, were appreciative of stories from my background where they were relevant.

Question 1
How would you meet the demands of a customer who does not understand technical difficulties and may be asking for unreasonable outcomes?
I applied online and was contacted by the director of the dept. I had applied to. She was absolutely fantastic to talk to and just went through my background, CV, and my interest in the role. After speaking with her, I was invited to have a remote interview with the development team. We walked through my experience again in depth and went through some exercises in application design (DBs, scalability, UI) and did a few debugging exercises in Ruby. Both interviews were very enjoyable and interesting and the director made sure to keep the interview process quick and concise.
