The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern University
Interview
I contacted the PI of the lab I work in directly. Interview was fairly straight forward. The most important part was to show interest in the research and ask many follow up questions about the specific research topic.
An important note about the online application submission system: I experienced some trouble with the FASIS website. When I emailed PIs saying I applied to their lab through the job they listed on the system, they would search for it and my application would sometimes not appear in their records. Although I received a confirmation through the FASIS system, when I called the application was not in their records. Therefore, I would recommend contacting FASIS to make sure they received your application, just to be 100% sure.
