Interview was conducted by my advisor, it is a case by case thing. Most likely, you will be prepared to answer the questions related to your research and your prior working/research experience. Most of the time, it is not difficult.

I met with five professors who were very insightful and asked about my previous research experience at National Institutes of Health and University of Michigan. It was a very relaxed environment and we were able to talk about science and they told me about Northwestern University.

It was more like two-way. I asked the research environment in NU and he asked about my research history.
