Three stage process.
First interview was by phone. The manager obviously had zero experience in conducting interviews. They had no background in sales or team management, which became very apparent early on.
The second stage was a video call with HR. Boiler plate sales questions asked. More of what I would expect from an interview.
The final interview was with the CEO. This is when it descended into farce. The interview was pushed back twice. I would come to learn that this was a “power move” to assert dominance. Eventually after being an hour late, it felt like I was interviewing for two different positions. The CEO had completely different expectations from the person who conducted the first interview. It was very confusing.
In the end after accepting, they completely changed my job spec. The manager had forgotten to send me the updated spec and this only came to light after being at the company for a week.
