I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Octopus Energy (Manchester, England) in July 2023
Interview
Few different stages. Had a telephone conversation with someone from recruitment, followed by a half hour-ish video call with a team leader and then a follow up interview with an ops manager. All really friendly.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Octopus Energy (Leicester, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
The hiring process consisted of three stages: an initial telephone call (asking about you, your experiences, skills and interest in the role), a virtual interview (usually over a few hours including meeting other applicants, though this was changed to a one-hour interview as things were extra busy - I found this much better!) and a final call (checking details and a few final questions). Everyone I spoke to was really friendly and the experience was enjoyable.

Question 1
Why am I interested in Octopus/what do I know about them and their products? My experience in customer service. Lots of scenario questions, e.g. examples of challenges and how I overcame them, how I would handle certain challenges in the role and what I feel the best approaches are in particular situations on the job.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Octopus Energy (Manchester, England) in Oct 2022
Interview
3 stages of interview. First one is a phone conversation, pretty short around 15 minutes. Relaxing one, just a brief introduction of yourself mostly. Second interview is a long one, 3 hours, consisting of group and individual assessments. Group ones are a bit intense, given some examples of case studies/situations. Other group assessment would be designing/improving existing/new products for Octopus. And then afterwards moving on to Individual assessments, mostly relaxing on why you are joining. Afterwards, it will be your turn to be the interviewer, you get to talk and ask questions to existing employees and managers. Overall, relaxing and easy to be myself. The third interview, finial interview is a relaxing one as well. One-on-one. Just to give you a final thoughts if you are sure you would like to join the company. And any final questions for the company. After all that interviews, you are good to go!
