      Senior Account Executive Interview

      8 July 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Taipei
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ogilvy (Taipei) in June 2013

      Interview

First round - phone interview with HR. It was a brief talk about my background and why I wanna join Ogilvy PR. Second round - Writing test. drafted a news release based the information they provided, shared a good PR case and your thoughts, and wrote an email to client regarding client complaint. Third round - In-person interview with HR head. Talked about my working experience and much about my personalities, how I handle pressures, my professional skills, whether or not I have connections with local media. Also, she asked if my family/boyfriend knew that I was applying for this job ( I guess she wanted to see if they would be okay with such long working hours) Fourth round - In-person interview with Account Director and Managing Director AD was friendly and focused on my past experience. MD was tough and tried to challenged my answers and observed how I responded. Also, she tested how much you know about PR. Ex, how would you describe the term "Public Relations", what is the most important element for PR....etc. The important thing in showing your passion. Passion is very important in this industry. Also, show your understanding about that PR is not merely about pretty things, celebrity, interesting events, cool branding campaign....instead, they are many miscellaneous tasks and practical hard work under the surface.

      3 Apr 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Ho Chi Minh City
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ogilvy (Ho Chi Minh City) in Dec 2023

      Interview

      1. HR Phone Screen This is a quick "vibe check." Expect the basics: your background, strengths, weaknesses, and the "money talk" (salary expectations). It’s mostly to see if you’re a match on paper and personality. 2. The Assessment Test Next, you’ll get a written test (usually 3 questions). They want to see your "marketing sense"—how you analyze a campaign and think on your feet. The kicker is usually the last question: a pitch about yourself. This is your chance to show them you can sell a brand, starting with your own. 3. Hiring Manager Interview This is the deep dive into your actual work. You’ll talk through your portfolio, how you handle pressure, and how you manage accounts. They are looking for functional expertise and a problem-solving mindset. 4. Final Interview with the Head of department By now, they know you can do the job; they just want to see if you fit the culture.

      Sr. Account Executive Interview

      1 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Ogilvy

      Interview

Very unprofessional HR and portrays a very negative image upon the company. None of the questions were related to the job role, most of the questions were personal questions. Once the offer was sent to me there was no mention of the salary, just an email and with a notice that they need an immediate response.
