I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Old Navy in Jan 2023
Interview
I recently interviewed with Old Navy for a retail sales associate position, and overall, it was a positive experience. The process was straightforward and consisted of a brief phone screening followed by an in-person interview at the store. The manager was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable right away.
The interview questions focused on customer service skills, availability, teamwork, and handling fast-paced environments. They also asked scenario-based questions, like how I would deal with a difficult customer or juggle multiple tasks during a busy shift. I appreciated that they were genuinely interested in understanding how I work with others and contribute to a positive store environment.
The vibe was relaxed but professional, and the team seemed close-knit and upbeat. I also liked that they were clear about expectations for shifts, dress code, and training.
Whether you're applying for your first retail job or have previous experience, I'd recommend being honest, energetic, and ready to show how you can add to their team culture.
Easy, Someone called me after I applied to set up interview. I went in and met with the store manager. I only had one interview and offered the next day!
