The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Boston, MA) in Oct 2010
Interview
Interviewed with 2 senior consultants (30 min each), one behavior and one case. The behavioral component consisted of fairly standard quesitons -- why OW, tell me about a time you had difficulty working within a team, what's your proudest accomplishment, etc. The case tripped me up -- it was a fairly standard expectation problem if I recall correctly, but definitely a different flavor of case from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, & co. I got the impression that they expect their candidates to be up to snuff with their probability, so make sure you brush up beforehand. In general firm culture seemed a bit stiff, but both interviewers were fairly friendly and turn around time was reasonable.
An online assessment (Math and Behavioral) followed by 1 group HR interview and 3 case interviews. You have to pass each case interview to move into the next one. Cases mainly focused on market sizing skills.
I applied online. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Dubai) in June 2025
Interview
There was an online assessment, followed by an HR interview. I did not pass the HR interview, however I found it to be underwhelming. Compared to other interviews, no emphasis was placed on actually finding out who you are and how you would fit in to the organization.
