Interview
They ask both behavioural, values, and market understanding questions. The interview takes place after the online assessment, which includes sections like the 80-in-8 (mental math), sequences test, and others. It is very important to prepare beforehand by understanding Optiver's company business and the trading industry, as this is a critical aspect tested. I was not prepared in this sense.

"Why do you want to work at Optiver?" "What are the Greeks?"
Online assessment with a bunch of games, probability questions, and IQ test type stuff. First round live trading game. Second round live trading game with more variables and more participants. HR call. Final round click trading game.
OA followed by a behavioural interview then two technical interviews focusing on probability and trading games with limited information. After that would have been a Super Day but I was rejected following the second technical interview.

Optiver behavioural interview rounds focus on values alignment, teamwork, and your ability to thrive in a trading mindset. You'll answer questions about past ownership of projects, how you handled production issues, and examples of collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
