Interview
Oracle Financial Services Group (OFSS) — Associate Consultant (Freshers, On-Campus)
Round 1: Online Assessment
Consisted of aptitude questions followed by two coding problems testing standard problem-solving ability.
Round 2: Technical Interview (40 minutes)
Opened with a deep dive into my major project — the interviewer asked what I built, the problem it solved, and why I chose this specific project, evaluating both technical depth and decision-making rationale.
This was followed by stack-specific questions:
React: core concepts relevant to my project implementation
Spring Boot: controllers and their role in the MVC flow, dependency injection and its use cases
Core Java: threading concepts, exception handling
DBMS: one easy-level SQL query
DSA: a problem requiring frequency count of elements and iterating over a HashMap to print results
Round 3: Technical/Managerial Interview (30 minutes) — with a Director-level interviewer
Focused entirely on system design and architecture maturity. The interviewer probed the architecture of my major project and asked how I would improve its latency, pushing for concrete optimization strategies. The discussion went well and the interviewer responded positively to my answers.
Round 4: HR Interview (10–15 minutes)
Standard behavioral and logistics round:
Willingness to relocate outside Mumbai
Stress management approach
Plans for higher studies (Master's)

Interview
The interview was pretty easy. They asked basic to medium LeetCode problems, and a lot of SQL/DBMS questions like joins, indexing, and query optimization. The main focus was on SQL and explaining projects from your resume. They also asked AI related topics like LLMs and RAG how they work, use cases, and differences between them.
