I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PC Financial in Aug 2023
Interview
The process was slow but within reasonable time lines. The recruiter was respectful and I enjoyed my conversation. The first interview also set a positive tone for the company in my mind. The second interview basically reversed all the positivity in my mind for the company and the individuals working there. The interviewer was overtly rude and condescending. First few questions were relevant and then the questions descended into unnecessarily personal topics. "How will you balance work and life?" (PS: this is an irrelevant question at best and a micro aggression at worst. I am already a senior level individual who has been "balancing work and life" for the better part of my life). When I stated collaboration as a strength, I was told that's something "they wouldn't like about me". And thirdly i was asked if I am an "ambitious person". Again, perhaps this line of questioning makes sense for someone very new in their career, not someone at the director levels. Just unnecessarily rude and condescending; it made for a terrible candidate experience.
