I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group in Nov 2019
Interview
Recruiter reached out soon after application and it was the standard recruiter call except that they a bit disorganized. Then there were some back and forth exchanges and I was scheduled for a video "super day" which consisted of 5 interviews.
Interview 1: I applied for a Software Developer position and I was speaking to a QA team, who were unable to properly configure the A/V which started everything off on a horrible note.
Interview 2: Was also for QA and everything worked fine until the end when the connection cut off.
Interview 3: This interview was a complete disaster. Half of the time was taken up by the interviewers unable to configure their devices with the IT guy assisting until finally the audio worked but I was unable to get video from them so I was just looking at a black screen. The interview questions were simple. Oh, and the best part is that they thought they had disconnected from the video call and made some snide comments on the interview.
Interview 4: This was probably the best one as it was as advertised. Software Developer for their financial platform. The interviewers were pleasant to talk to and casual.
Interview 5: This was for a position in Cleveland, not Pittsburgh. This one was fine except for another bait and switch.
So out of the five interviews, I had 3/5 of them be for positions I wasn't interested in, one was a complete IT disaster and the other one I probably didn't have enough experience for.
If someone from PNC is reading this, then please consider the following: Hire some IT people, have everything configured BEFORE the interview, and stop bait and switching people about what they are doing and where they will be doing it. Also, final interviews should be onsite, ALWAYS.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group
Interview
The interview was a behavioral interview. I had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it to others. I would make sure you understand the role of tech in banking.
Standard leet coding questions, few from medium and design question and then behavior and culture fit questions Overall good process Friendly people and good vibes Enjoyed the process It was organized
The interview itself was a really great experience. My interviewer was very professional and we had a great conversation the entire time. Mostly behavioral. I was however thoroughly disappointed with the recruiters after the fact. I was given an offer, and then ghosted for weeks. Just seemed very unprofessional.
