      Customer Service Interview

      10 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PR Newswire in Apr 2025

      Interview

I had a smooth and productive phone interview, followed by an in-person interview with the team, which also went well. I was told I passed and was then scheduled to speak with the HR Director from another region to discuss salary and next steps. During that conversation, the HRD repeatedly expressed doubts and mistrust about my background—concerns that had already been addressed thoroughly in earlier interviews. I had explained everything clearly, yet the same issues kept coming up, even at the stage of discussing compensation. It felt like I was being re-interviewed all over again, just in a less direct way. I was told I’d receive a final decision within a week. After hearing nothing, I reached out myself—only to be told I wasn’t moving forward because my experience “didn’t match the role closely enough.” If that was a major concern, why wasn’t it made clear from the beginning? This could have saved everyone time, energy, and emotional investment. I spent days preparing, going through multiple rounds, only to be disqualified at the very last step for something that had already been raised and resolved. I understand not every candidate is the perfect fit, but this kind of process shows a lack of respect for the candidate’s time and effort. It’s not just about being rejected—it's about how it was handled. We deserve better.
