Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter out of the blue and sent my CV forward. I then had what I thought would be an informal meeting over Zoom. Instead it was an interview with about 4 questions. I was told as I was a a very close fit and they needed to hire someone urgently I should hear from them that week. I waited a few weeks to get a response and sent multiple emails to the recruiter and the HR team. Eventually I went on LinkedIn and found what I believed to be the hiring manager who prompted recruitment to respond. I was then told they were impressed with my CV and offered a paid writing test, it was very low payment but I decided to give it ago. I was then told they weren't moving forward with my application. They would not give me any feedback. The whole thing felt like a massive waste of my time, with very poor communication throughout. I know this is indicative of the market at the moment, but I think big companies like this could do better in the way they treat candidates.
