After they collected a thorough customized and company specific go to market plan, and details on a playbook- I was ghosted. Disappointing. At an early-stage company, every interaction reflects on the culture being built. Treating candidates with respect is not just courteous, it’s also part of building a strong network and reputation in the startup ecosystem. Ignoring candidates who dedicate time and thought to your process undermines both of those. Even a short note acknowledging their contributions can go a long way toward fostering goodwill and leaving the door open for future collaboration.
