The hiring process included two stages: an initial HR interview followed by an interview with the IT Director.
Stage 1 – HR Interview
The first interview with HR went very well. The HR representative was professional, structured in her approach, and asked precise and relevant questions. It felt like a fair and constructive discussion.
Stage 2 – IT Director Interview
The second stage, unfortunately, was a very negative experience. From the start of the video interview, the IT Director appeared disengaged, he wasn’t even looking at me when beginning the call. His first question was delivered with a sharp, contemptuous tone and facial expression, setting a hostile atmosphere.
Throughout the conversation, he frequently interrupted my responses and made dismissive hand gestures that felt mocking and unprofessional. This did not resemble a genuine interview but rather what I would describe as a harassment session.
Conclusion
It was evident to me that the IT Director had already decided to reject my application before the interview even began. My resume was a strong match for the role, but it felt like the interview was conducted only to complete a formal process, not to genuinely evaluate my candidacy.
