Interview
The Senior Beverage Manager was very nice but takes herself way to seriously. On occasion I was able to get her to laugh to show that she was at least human and not a robot. While It is impressive how far she has come for her age and being a female in that industry, it is also important to not to be so rigid, strict, and stiff.... calm down and laugh a little sometimes its cocktails its supposed to be fun. Even so, I thought the interview was going great until the questions about cocktails started. I always expect that there will be questions regarding cocktails however the amount of questions and the degree of difficulty was ridiculous for a server. I was applying for a server not a wine sommelier or bartender. I then find out that the servers would also be making their own drinks because they have some automatic bartender thing in the back, so not only are you expected to serve, you are expected to be the bartender as well. No wonder the questions regarding drinks were hard. Im a server not a bartender. I never heard back and when i applied again months later when the job was posted again I was skipped over. I was made to feel I was not good enough for that place even with my level of experience and degree or professionalism. Again this was a cocktail server position not a position for CEO. I was at first excited to maybe be a part of an organization that had two women at the top of Food and Beverage Management but now i realized I'm probably better off. Unless you have a master's degree in alcohol, dont bother
