I had an initial phone interview, and apparently it went well, as the next day I had an invite to interview in person.
Location was easy to find. After being acknowledged, I waited about 10 minutes in the front room, which was fine as I was early.
The interviewer then took me to a conference room. On the way there, it seemed there was only 3 other people working at the time. Nice small group.
The interview basically consisted of myself and the interviewer taking a seat, then simply asking me to talk about my resume. No questions to explain any situations or examples. Simply talk about each entry on the resume.
After talking thru my resume and at the end of the interview, I was told this was more of an entry level position, and it seemed that the interviewer thought I was too qualified. After explaining that I understood the position, and understood I would be starting from the bottom and had no issues with that, I was told twice I would be receiving a call to setup a second interview to review my technical skills.
Despite being told twice I would be receiving a follow up call for another interview, I never received a call.
I walked away thinking I did an exceptional interview with the expectation of a follow up, but in hindsight, it seems this company is looking more for an individual with limited experience.
