      Easy interview

      Application

      Interview

I found the interview itself to be rather disorganized. The woman who scheduled the interview forgot to contact me. When we finally spoke she acted distracted and annoyed. It seemed she had no idea who I was, what I was applying for, or why we were speaking to one another. Her English was shaky so perhaps that was a factor. After reading more about the company, I am relieved that the processes ended so quickly.

      Business Development Associate Interview

      29 July 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Amsterdam
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paymentwall (Amsterdam) in June 2015

      Interview

The process took about 3 weeks. I applied online via their website, after really liking the products and website, and the next morning I had an email scheduling an interview for the next day. I prepared myself well regarding to the products and the concept of the company, though I decided also to check out glassdoor to see more or less what were the company's reviews; it was impressive how many bad comments there were about the company and the way the interviews were conducted, but still I liked the product and decided to prepare even more for any type of questions. Once I was making the first interview via Skype (the interviewer being really rude from the beginning and late) my experience was not relevant and what they wanted to know was only what I knew about the company and the products and which companies would I go for, etc. but when I was answering, the interviewer was stopping me all the time because it was not what he wanted to hear. Anyway, I had a bad impression from the company since that interview, but they asked me to make another interview in the afternoon and I gave it a chance. The second interview was with a person from USA. This interviewer had much better attitude than the first. It went quiet smooth and they asked me to make a third interview; since this interview went so much better I thought maybe it was just the first interviewer who was giving a bad image of the company (ignoring glassdoor comments). The third interview was scheduled to be two days later at night via Skype. I add the interviewer via Skype. I waited for 10 minutes past the interview scheduled time and I still hadn't have an answer so I decided to write this person and asked him if the scheduled time was still ok or if he wanted to change it to another day for his convenience, to which he replied to change the interview to another date and we scheduled it. Once this day came, I was in Skype on time and 10 minutes later of the scheduled time, no answer. Later I received an email asking me to re-scheduled the meeting. I was already annoyed with the lack of commitment but once again I gave it a chance and we scheduled the interview for another day. They told me they had to confirm me the time. I waited for the confirmation, which I never received. I sent emails, and contacted a person via Skype, and no answer. The day they asked me for the third interview passed and still no answer. Two weeks later, without doing the third interview, I received an email telling me that I hadn't meet the expectations, which I wouldn't have mind if they had attended to the last interview. I believe the product that the company offers is amazing and I obviously don't critizise it at all (I really liked the products, webpage and marketing), however, they do have to commit and be more responsible, even if someone doesn't meet the expectations, there is no point on compromising to having interviews if they are not going to attend to them. The company can be great but this process only makes bad image to them.
