- Had 3 rounds of interviews with HR but 2 times separately with line managers - Had a test also - Too lengthy, over 5 hours and interview process not well arranged
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Pedder Group (Aberdeen)
Interview
1 – interview with the HR
very detailed questions about your previous experience
lots of focus on strength and weaknesses
they're pretty chill
2 – math and personality test
one of the test is on retail math questions, they provide you with formulas
second test involves questions such as
e.g., if you're new here and sth had gone wrong in an order but your manager is out on a buying trip, what would you do
3 – interview with a manager from higher up
(i got an assistant buyer for the first role i interviewed for, and a director of merchandising for the second role– so it depends)
some questions overlapped with the one HR asked
asks you why buying, why lane crawford, career plans
The Senior Director did not show up for the interview, hence, I only met the HR person, even though the time was chosen from their side. The flow of the interview wasn't great, the HR would suddenly ask a question that didn't really connect well with the previous subject. Wasn't really able to answer my questions. Overall, HR seems tired and not interested from the start.
