      Project Manager Interview

      15 Nov 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo in Oct 2019

      Interview

I got a call from HR consultant who were hiring for PM for their Pepsico Hyderabad IT Hub . First round was video Skype screening with US based manager. Second round was basic technical round again video Skype this time with US based Director. In both the rounds , I clearly asked them work timings and travel requirements, my role & responsibilities. I was assured flexibility and support for working mothers. I was positive about the outcome. Immediately I got a call from HR consultant that I have cleared both rounds and he asked me to share payslips, relieving letters etc so that they can start BG check. I shared all the Required documents in 2 days . After multiple follow ups after around 20 days, I got a call to attend F2F round with India IT Director. I was surprised and disappointed during discussion when I came to know that their expectations are entirely different for that role . Late evening work timings, frequent travel requirements were not at all discussed during first two rounds. Moreover, there were many questions raised around little gap between two previous job switches, for which I had clearly explained to HR consultant the reasons prior to even attending interviews. I had even shared all relieving letters of my previous companies . I wasted my 1.5 months in this interview process. Why work timings and travel requirements not clearly mentioned in JD and why they were not discussed during initial rounds of interview . If gap between two job switches was such a major issue with them then why did they call me for F2F interview. They had all my relieving letters with them. HR’s should have done their jobs properly before calling candidates for interviews. Such a waste of time and poor experience with such global reputed brand .

      Interview

The interviewer was so low on energy and kept yawning all the time. Extremely frustrating and hard to develop a true conversation. Maybe they send her whenever they regret selecting a person for an interview.
