I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Burnsville, MN) in June 2020
Interview
After taking the online assessment and scheduling an in person interview, you are shown a short video describing the physical assessment, which consists of moving 2 Litre plastic packs with 8 bottles from one pallet to another, then moving your pallet approximately 20 feet with a pallet jack to build a display. The display is 4 2-litre units high and four units wide, and six deep. They give you a page with an initial layout and have you fill up the pallet, then as you're filling up the display they give you a different layout to "switch things up", and you have to build the display accordingly. Definitely one of the most corporate interview processes I have experienced. My interviewer seemed detached from the whole process, the physical portion of the process was not set up the way their own on boarding packets described it as, and the bottles were filthy from the many times it had been previously used, which was especially discouraging due to the covid-19 epidemic. I declined an offer for another merch position closer to where I live that pays a little less, but especially after seeing how lax their sanitation procedures seem to be I didn't want to take the risk. If they can't be bothered to reduce your risk as a potential hire, I can't imagine they'll be doing much more for you as an employee.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Conroe, TX) in June 2025
Interview
The interview was more than frustrating for me. I arrived 10 minutes early to an empty lobby. I figured they were busy and there wasn't a bell to ring or anything to that effect. I sat there for about 15 minutes when the next interviewer came in. We began speaking and about 30 minutes later, somebody finally came out. They came to speak with that interviewer and allegedly, I was not on the roster. I offered to reschedule since I had the free time and was told their scheduler was on vacation for two weeks so they didn't want to make me wait that long. They got me into an office with somebody who clearly had other things they were taking care of and seemed annoyed by being pulled away to interview me. After the third eye roll and frustrated sigh with an explanation of benefits I've already read, I reiterated that I am more than happy to reschedule if they needed me to. I was not asked any questions about previous employment, just given information about the company followed by a signing of a sheet claiming I knew what was explained to me. At this point, I thought either they already knew they weren't going to hire me, or the interviewer believed it was onboarding information and not an interview. He rushed through everything and in a spin I was back out front with a promise of a callback. About a week later, I was declined and frustrated as it felt like they didn't even give me an opportunity.
