Applied and was set up with a phone interview a week later. Talked with the Hiring Manager who was extremely friendly and who was very succinct - keeping our phone call to 30 minutes. I then was immediately set up with an in-person interview and headed to San Francisco the week after. Met with four interviewers from the Recruiting team over a two hour span. Each person I met was very nice and personable. The questions ranged from behavioral, situational and opinion. At the end a Coordinator offered for me to load my swag bag with the free kitchen treats, which in hindsight I should have fully indulged. Heard back after a week and a half that they had moved forward in a different direction. Overall a great experience.

The first interview screen was pretty straightforward, with general “why are you interested in the role, Pinterest, etc. types of questions.” The first screen went very well from my perspective, and the recruiting coordinator I spoke with ran me through the rest of the rest of the interview process and when I could expect to hear back. I didn’t hear back during the timeline I was told about, so I reached out to the RC. No response. I essentially ended up getting ghosted and declined a week later by an automated email. When I asked for feedback since I was surprised to not move to the next round, more silence. For a team whose purpose is recruiting coordination and managing the candidate experience, I was very disappointed by the process and lack of communication, and expected more from a company like Pinterest.
