      Interview

A recruiter reached out to schedule an interview. The day of the interview, the recruiter never called me. I contacted the recruiter via email and never received an email back. Thanks for ghosting, Pinterest! Horrible experience.

      Interview

Great, smooth, friendly, and very professional. And if you were started with a light ice breaking question to get candidate used to the interviewer. All of the easiest interview yet they stayed true to the questions and even through difficult questions. The interviewer was calm, professional, understanding, and empathetic.

      Interview

I was really excited about this interview at Pinterest but it ended up being just an ok experience and sometimes frustrating. The initial screening was requested to be rescheduled. When I asked for an earlier date that the recruiter proposed she could do, she said to just stick with the following week. After finishing the screener I was told I'd move to the next round with the hiring manager. At this point I was farther along in another interview process and found out a couple days later I had a verbal job offer. I reached out to my recruiter to tell her and ask a question and she said she was too busy to talk but to ask her over email. I emailed her about my job offer and if we could move my next interview up but never received a response. I was able to ask for time to make my decision with the other company so was able to take the interview with the Pinterest hiring manager. We jumped right into the questions and she didn't seem very enthusiastic but I was able to get to know her more when I asked questions at the end. I later found out that I passed that round and would move on to the next panel round on Zoom with 3 EAs. At that point I was able to talk to the recruiter on the phone where she described the next steps. In the end I went with the other job offer. I really wanted to deep dive into this role at Pinterest but the other company I interviewed with were much more communicative, personable, engaging, and overall happy with their roles and mission that I could hear through my interview process than the energy I got at Pinterest. My Feedback: Have recruiters show care for the candidates and communicate effectively. Otherwise you will lose more candidates to other companies.
