First was the recruiter/screener call. Then a hiring manager video call. Then passing that, you get to the 4 x 30 minute interviews where the last one is a presentation of the assignment given. Then I had one additional call with the hiring manager. Overall, having gone through the interview process with recruiters in many of the top tech companies (LinkedIn, Google, Amazon, Spotify, Shopify, to name a few), I would say Pinterest has been the most positive experience I've had. This is not just me saying that from getting an offer, I've already applied and gone through the process 2 other times without offers and they still were professional, ensuring they communicated with me along the way and feedback when available. Compared to other companies that have ghosted me after I spent good amount of time already going through the interview process and can't show common courtesy to candidates (most recently, I'm looking at you, LinkedIn. Terrible in this day and age). This time, fairly quick responses (understandably, it is out of a recruiter's hands if they haven't heard back from the hiring team) and transparency throughout. Besides being a company I have always admired and wanted to work at, the past failed interview processes still didn't deter me from wanting to work there someday. Which wouldn't be the case for places where the recruiting team is unprofessional with job candidates.
